fitting alfa seats in ep82 or other cars
BEFORE U START MAKE SURE UR CAR IS PARKED LEVEL IF NOT USE A LEVEL AND JACK 1 SIDE UP OF THE CAR TILL ITS LEVEL
hey lads this is a how to , to fit bucket seats or like me alfa 156 leather interior in your car
first i used the 4 oem mounting brackets from the seats and cut of the rails
then got 40/10mil bar upfront and bolted the bar across
then i did the same at the rears BUT because the alfa driver seat has the yoke under it for the seat hight adjustability i had to cut the mid section out at the rears as u can see in the pic below if u are using bucket seats u wont have to cut out the mid section
on some cars u can keep the rear cross bar u will have to check when doing so
and dont make the same mistake like me NOT USING a spririt level and making sure ur car is parked level i had to do it all over again ha ha ha
here is a pic of driver seat FINALLY in perfect position
i will make more detailed pictures 2morow from passo seat and tools to use
and after that i will fit the alfa leathers in the rears to going to be a real hard pain there way to big
to be continued
---------------------------------------------------
so here is the description of fitting the alfa seat level ( passo seat ) in ep82
for most cars u will keep the 4 oem mounting points and wil end up whit something like this
now back to fitting the alfa seats in a ep82!!!!!!
now u have to drill a hole in the chassis mounting point i used a 9 mm drill for the M8 bolt to have some play to manoeuvre ( to get the lowest seat position possible ) u will need it trust me
next u will have to drill out a hole for the rail bolt going thru the cross barr
now use this hole u made for the rail bolt / cross bar to fit the mounting bolt thru the 9mm hole u drilled
( PICTURE TO COME )
this is bolted down ( on the inside ) use 2 deep sockets ( from the same set so there equal in length )
and place them as far to the edge as possible
now place ur level ontop of the sockets to check level and adjust outside mounting points till level
1s u have ur base level now its time to fit the sliders bolt ur rails back onto ur seats / buckets and fit ontop off ur rails now 1s u get ur final position mark it accordingly and drill the holes and bolt ur railt to the cross bars
next check squareness of ur rails first check the top iner dimensions of ur rails
then check the bottom inner ( using a measuring tape by the way ha ha)
and after u did that measure top left rail bolt to bottom tight bolt and visa versa to get the rail square bolt it down sollid then unbolt the mounting point then fit back to ur seats and fit seats to car
tools used so far is
1: drill / 9MM bitt
2: angle grinder
3: 10/40 mm bar
4: ratchet spanner 13
5: ratched 14
6: level
7: 2 equal length sockets
PHASE 2 REAR SEATS COMING SOON
today i made the rear bottom seat fit it was easy as but the back rest will be a whole other story
tools used today
1: mig welder
2: hack saw
3: 2x long nose pliers
4: a length off 3mm round bar
so here we go
1st put the alfa seat on the floor with the bottom facing up then the gt seat ontop bottom facing down
now make sure u centre it ( IF U MAKE A MISTAKE NOW U WILL HAVE A CROOKED SEAT)
use a red marker ( or any color u fancy) its up to u mark the gt seat on the back of the alfa foam
now all that is marked use ur long nose pliers and loosen the clips al round
now pull back the leather and cut the excess off the metal black bars off now whit the scrap bars bend them to the shape of ur markings then weld back on it will look something like this
now cut ur foam whit a hacksaw to the shape of ur new design
( yes sorry lads i missed a step in the pictures but u still get the point)
now refit all the clips and tighten the 2 metal bars that are soan in the alfa leathers and tighten as much as possible
like this
to be updated 2morow lads ran out of light

Re: fitting alfa seats in ep82 or other cars
fore sure have them reers ere already been cleaning them and taking measurements etc
i am going to have to use the mid centre section of the alfa back and cut to size and weld on the starlet rail and loads of trimming
i will deffo take my time doing so i have only 1 go so measure measure and measure again then cut and weld test fit the naked hybrid rear seat back frame then start trimming the alfa foam to suit the new frame then trim the leather to suit the good part is in the middle there is an arm rest coming down so when theres only 2 in the rear they can hang in comforf
i think i will need about 7 days to trim the lot so be patient
updates will come
